Communion with one’s Higher Self is the foundation of Amana Village. It is the practice of developing a clear line of communication with the true self, the inner Divine Intelligence, God of the Universe. This science teaches that every person must learn to recognize the difference between reactionary thinking and true creativity of the Higher Self or first thought. Fear, confusion, anger, jealousy, doubt, and uncontrolled desires pull the mind away from stillness which simultaneously causes the conscious mind to go out of alignment with the mind of God. The Higher Self speaks through stillness, discipline, which renders strong intuition and divine reasoning.
Within Amana Village, this communion is not treated as an abstract idea. It is a daily practice until it becomes a tangible reality. The cycle of externalization is over which was the cycle of amnesia or self forgetfulness. We are now in thw cycle in which one learns to internationalize and depend upon the unlimited divine power within them. This way of thinking is the true original way in which we thoughtin our God form that is slowely returning as the great awakening in this new sun cycle of peace on the planet.
2. Morality, Hygienics, Civility, and Purification
The science or wisdom of these four pillars upholds our Divine attributes, keeping our characters and personalities refined and clean with discipline, respect, and purified in our higher qualities.
Morality, Hygienics, Civility, and Purification form the character system of Amana Village. These four pillars keep the individual clean inwardly and outwardly. They are not separate ideas; they work together to align the the person as cleanliness is Godliness. Morality governs right and wrong. Hygienics governs cleanliness and care of the body as well as the spiritual bodies. Civility governs respect, manners, speech, and social conduct which renders the proper way in the distribution of energy on a social level. With purification one is able to remove the weaknesses of the mind, body, and soul. It is one of the keys that’s missing among our youth today.
A village cannot remain strong if its people are careless in conduct, unclean habits, disrespectful in their speech, or undisciplined with dietary laws. This principle teaches that refinement is a science. The body must be cared for and one must always be mindful of themselves.
Dietary Laws also belong within these principles because food directly affects the mind and body of a person. Food is to be understood in truth as medicine when used properly, supported by herbs, fasting, cleanliness, and self-discipline. What enters the body influences the quality of thinking and behavior, as well as one’s spiritual sensitivity. Through these practices, members of Amana Village learn to live in peace and carry themselves with dignity.
3. The Characteristics of God and the Ways of an Enlightened Society
The study of universal cultural teachings and the laws of nature in conjunction with our culture, conduct, and way of life.
This wisdom establishes the intellectual, spiritual, and cultural foundation of Amana Village. An enlightened society cannot be built on ignorance, disorder, imitation, or empty tradition. It must be built on wisdom that teaches the people how to understand themselves and nature and the laws that govern existence.
The Characteristics of God represent the higher qualities that must be studied, understood, and expressed through morality and in every aspect of one’s character. It starts with Self Knowledge in which one gains knowledge, wisdom, and understanding leading to divine thinking which is govered by experience, evidence, and divine reasoning. This in turned is governed by one’s Higher Self, the God of the Universe.
4. Ma’at: Righteousness and Order
Establishing a disciplined system of peace, correction, counsel, and accountability so conflicts are handled with wisdom and unity within the Village and in turn remains unified, stable, and protected.
Ma’at: Righteousness and Order is the governing principle of peace, balance, correction, and accountability within Amana Village. Every community will face disagreement, offense, mistakes, and conflict. The strength of the Village is not proven by the absence of conflict, but by the system used to correct it. Without order, conflict becomes divisive. With order, conflict becomes an opportunity for correction, restoration, and growth.
This wisdom establishes that peace must be protected through ma’at, order and justice. Correction and counsel must be given when conduct becomes harmful. Accountability must be required when a person’s actions disturb the unity or stability of the Village. These things must be handled with wisdom, not emotion, favoritism, gossip, or revenge.
Ma’at requires honorable conduct. It keeps the Village from falling into confusion, disorder, and personal conflict. It teaches that righteousness is not only a belief, but a way of governing behavior. Through peace, counsel, correction, and accountability, the community remains unified, stable, and protected.
5. The Distribution of Energy and Power
Creating products, building businesses, owning land, and producing resources so the Village can distribute its energy, labor, and power toward economic strength, independence, and collective advancement.
The Distribution of Energy and Power is the economic and productive principle of Amana Village which are not the same in the sence of modern society. A people cannot be free if they do not control their labor, land, resources, products, and systems of production. Energy must not be wasted, scattered, or given away without purpose. It must be organized and directed toward building strength for the people.
This wisdom teaches that the Village must create, produce, own, and distribute its resources so that they may circulate and support its people before anything else.
Economic strength is not only about money which is energy but is about independence, control, and advancement for a more wholesome life. Resources support growth in which a people should only take what is needed. This society is run from gluttony and greed leading to thievery, murder, and sickness. When a people mature in culture they begin to only see their needs until their needs and wants become one.
6. Brotherhood & Sisterhood
Men and women walking together with respect, structure, loyalty, accountability, and shared responsibility.
Brotherhood and Sisterhood is the social bond of Amana Village. No village can stand without trust between its people. Men and women must walk together with respect, structure, loyalty, accountability, and shared responsibility. This wisdom teaches that unity is not just affection or agreement. It is unity of minds and souls in which the body will always follow.
Brotherhood means that men must uphold one another in responsibility, protection, work, leadership, correction, and honor. The phrase, “I am my brothers keeper” is seen in this. Sisterhood means that women must uphold one another with care, structure, wisdom, development, family support, and accountability. The phrase, “I am my sister’s keeper” is seen in this. Both are necessary for the Village to function properly. Neither can be weak, divided, careless, or without order. Their destiny is to become one thing as one fortified mind, the multiplicity into one thing. This in turn nullifies indifference and protects the community from gossip, disloyalty, disrespect, competition, jealousy, and disorder. Brotherhood and Sisterhood must be built on truth and responsibility. Every person must understand that their actions affect the whole. When men and women are properly united, the community becomes stable, productive, and powerful.
7. The Divine Family Structure
Understanding the distribution of energies within the household, where each person’s place, purpose, duty, role and influence work together to build a powerful dynamic of fortification, unity, and strength in perfect synchronicity in conjunction with with Universal laws.
The Divine Family Structure in each household becomes the roots of our enlightened society. Before a people can build land, business, education, or government, they must first understand the household its dynamics. The home is the first institution. It is where children learn conduct, discipline, love, duty, protection, respect, and responsibility from the mother and father. When the household is weak, the village becomes weak. When the household is properly structured, the village gains strength and power from every family within it.
The Divine Family Structure also protects the future of the Village through the children. Children must be guided, corrected, educated, loved, and prepared to continue the work of the people. A household that follows natural universal laws which are the characteristics of the Most High accumulates power which helps in the awakening of our people.
